Dual-Gun AC EV Charging Station: 14 kW, 22 kW and 44 kW in One Pedestal
An AC charging bay does not have to be two separate wallboxes to serve two cars. The TA-AC-ALD3 puts two charging guns on one slim pedestal — 14 kW, 22 kW or 44 kW of AC output, a 4.3-inch display and RFID card reading on the front panel. It is a new-look design for sites that want a tidier bay and a simpler installation.
Two Guns, One Station
Each pedestal carries two charging guns, one mounted on each side, so a single unit covers two parking bays instead of one. The guns sit in side holsters with the 5-metre output cables looped on integrated hooks, which keeps the bay clear and stops the cable from being dragged on the ground between sessions.
The user interface is deliberately simple: a 4.3-inch display in a recessed black panel, an LED status bar directly above it, and a card-reading icon below. Drivers see the station state, present a card, and start charging — no separate terminal, no extra hardware on the wall.
Three Output Options: 14 kW, 22 kW and 44 kW
The same pedestal is available in three AC output configurations, all built on one platform:
- 14 kW — 7 kW per gun, single-phase AC220 V ±15%, output current about 63 A
- 22 kW — 11 kW per gun, three-phase AC380 V ±15%, output current about 33 A
- 44 kW — 22 kW per gun, three-phase AC380 V ±15%, output current about 66 A
Because the two guns of a 22 kW or 44 kW unit share a three-phase supply, a site can start with the power it actually needs and specify a higher-output version later without changing the layout or the mounting base.
Two Finishes: White and Dark Grey
The new housing is a tall, slim pedestal with rounded vertical edges, and it is offered in two finishes — white and dark grey — so one product can match a residential car park, an office forecourt or a commercial forecourt without a custom order. Both versions use the same black interface panel, the same gun holsters and the same base plate.
The base ships with pre-drilled corner holes, so the pedestal bolts straight to a prepared foundation. On hardened cement ground, no excavation or concrete pouring is needed — expansion screws are enough.
Connector Options: GB/T, Type 1 and Type 2
The station can be supplied with GB/T connectors as standard, or with Type 1 or Type 2 connectors, so the same model serves different vehicle markets. The gun standard is chosen at the order stage, and the corresponding cables and holsters are used.
If you are specifying for a mixed fleet, confirm the connector standard per site rather than per project — it is the single most common cause of a charger arriving that cannot plug into the cars on site.
Built for Outdoor Commercial Sites
The enclosure is rated IP55 and the operating window is −30 °C to 55 °C, with humidity up to 95% non-condensing and an operating altitude of up to 2000 m. Running noise is under 30 dB, which matters where the pedestal stands close to a residential building or an office entrance. RCD protection is Type A plus DC 6 mA, so DC leakage from the vehicle's onboard electronics is covered as well as conventional AC faults.
Charging Methods, Networking and Load Balancing
Four ways to start a session are supported: RFID card, plug and charge, APP, and scheduled charging. Networking is by 4G or Ethernet, with OCPP support for a central management platform. Load balancing is available as an option using a CT with a single-phase or three-phase meter — useful where several pedestals share a building's existing supply and the operator wants to cap total demand instead of paying for a larger connection.
Technical Specifications
Incoming cable reference (per the installation table, for the wall-mounted dual-gun GB/T version — final selection must be confirmed by a qualified electrical engineer):
The manual specifies an incoming cable with a temperature rating of at least −40 °C to +90 °C, and pre-buried conduit of Φ25 in PVC or SC material.
